Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe, an East-End hood in Brighton to collect £6000 from his fiancee’s dad. While holed up at the pub, craving cod and chips and mushy peas, Francis sneakily takes a second job with Stanley Stubbers. To prevent discovery all he needs to do is keep his two guvnors apart.
